I can’t EXPRESS MY ANGER RIGHT NOW.
First off, NO, Joe Paterno wasn’t the actual motherfucking rapist. Read the goddamn news. Secondly, he deserves blame for this just as much as the other administrators do. He didn’t do enough. But neither did they. And he’s the public face of the football program, so of course he has to go down with that ship. Even though the Board of Trustees said, “We have no facts.” THE MEDIA HAS IGNORED THE REAL VILLAIN.
I’m so upset for these children and my school. I feel like everyone is just shitting all over us because of five men’s decisions. Fine, take your shot. I’m just as upset about child abuse as you fucking are. I can’t even make proper sentences because I’m upset at how very WRONG EVERY ASPECT OF THIS IS. How many awful things happened, by people who represent a place I learned to love over the years.
I’m sitting up here in Chicago torn to pieces. What do I think about this? I don’t even fucking know. If your ass didn’t fucking attend Penn State, then you will not understand what the students feel. JoePa was an idol, yes. He was. You are correct. Whether or not YOUR PERSONAL OPINION about football and shit agrees to it, he was. Shut up and die. So yeah, the people are fucking shocked that the man coaching the team of a very FOOTBALL ORIENTED SCHOOL was fired after coaching since 1966. Are you shocked they rioted? I’m not. Of course this is how Penn State students react to having a legend of State College fired. Of COURSE they’re conflicted.
People feel cheated by a college that preached integrity and “may no act of ours bring shame.” We are ashamed and embarrassed, even though the fault belongs to others. I’m sad to see my uni get publicly humiliated like this. I hate Sandusky. I wish he could fucking stop existing. We all hate him for what he did. Most of all, for hurting those children — those poor children from the Second Mile — and taking advantage of them. But please…the Penn State community cares so much about children. That’s why they raise $7 million every year to donate to childhood cancer patients. We’re all upset. I believe the community will stand by the victims and support them, because that’s what it’s about. After this shock wears off… I’m rambling and repetitive but this isn’t for you, it’s for me to get my feelings out.
I hate Sandusky more than I can possibly say. For hurting eight innocent children, who had no ability to defend themselves from this predator. For taking down everyone with him. For ruining our name.
I hate the administration for caring more about image than safety. I hate that some students had to take it too far and burn shit and knock shit over.
I hate that I’m alone right now, and that I feel like I’ve gone from respected to disdained.
Katie: you let spanier resign, tim curley is still technically employed, gary schultz is still sitting pretty on what i’m sure is a hefty retirement package
Katie: but you have to fire a man who was willing to resign after making sure he finishes the job he’s been doing for 61 years to the best of his abilityDon’t bother reblogging this if you’re just going to argue. Just keeeep a-scrollin’.
